Position description
The Ron Joyce Centre for Business Studies/Commerce Department at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ invites applications for a part-time stipendiary appointment in Sackville to teach a course entitled COMM2201 - Fundamentals of Marketing. This course stresses the meaning of products and services to the consumer recognizing that a consumer orientation is essential for effective decision making. Students have the opportunity to develop fundamental skills in analysis, report writing, and presentations. This course is a pre-requisite for Comm 2211 Marketing Management. The course is scheduled with one section each on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:00 pm to 5:20 pm in the Fall academic term 2025. The class size is approximately 100 students per section.
Although the course is scheduled in person on the Sackville campus, the possibility of delivering the course in a hybrid format (in-person and online) or synchronously online (fully online on the days/times) may be considered.
Candidates must have experience teaching Marketing courses at the undergraduate university level, demonstrate a strong commitment to high quality undergraduate teaching and engagement, and a graduate degree in Marketing.

• Cover letter describing teaching experience, knowledge of foundational principles in Marketing, and eligibility to work in Canada.
• Proposed Course Syllabus for Comm 2201 Fundamentals of Marketing, which includes course format, course readings and/or textbook, topics, type of assignments, and assessment.
• In addition to the proposed syllabus for Comm 2201, a Course Syllabus for another marketing course already taught by the applicant may be included (not required).
• Curriculum Vitae.
• A teaching dossier (e.g., teaching philosophy and evidence of teaching ability).
• Names and contact information of three individuals who will submit reference letters.
